District Funding Requests for the 2024-2025 school year

Community support has been essential in helping to ensure our island’s public schools continue to be the best in the state. Our district has been highly successful in preparing students for the future. Our students have continued to receive a robust curriculum that includes a holistic approach to individual development.

Current initiatives

For the 2024-2025 school year, the Vashon Schools Foundation goal is to raise $132,000 for these programs:

  • STEM and Scientists in Schools Partnership with Vashon Nature Center
  • Guided Student Link
  • Vashon Artists in Schools collaboration with VCA
  • Social Emotional Support programs: Journeymen and Sisterhood
  • Counseling Supports for Non-Spanish Speaking and Spanish-Speaking Students and Families (VYFS Partnership)
  • CES Spanish Intern Program
  • DOVE: Teen Council and Circles in Schools
  • Chautauqua Garden
